Associate Project Manager, Marketing and Creative Services (Open to Remote)

Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Division is seeking an Associate Project Manager, Marketing and Creative Services who will manage the day-to-day workflow for marketing ad traffic and aid the Creative Services team with critical deadlines for projects supporting Christian books to a wide audience of readers. As Associate Project Manager, you will have dual reporting to the Creative Director and the Vice President, Director of Marketing. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled project manager who loves books and reading, working in a highly productive, organizing multiple projects, a collaborative and fast paced environment, and is interested in filling a critical role with the creative team.

 

Our Christian publishing program is devoted to creating books that inspire readers to find rich, spiritual purpose in their daily lives and invite them into a deeper relationship with God. We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and enthusiastic asocial associate project manager with interest in working with Christian books and authors to join our team. This associate will be an active member of the team who creates and executes customized campaigns for approximately 80 Christian focused books per year ranging from Christian Living titles, Christian Fiction, Young Readers, and 4-color product lines including children’s board books and gift products. In addition to the marketing campaigns effort, this position will aid the Creative Services team in awareness of critical deadlines for the Adult Book covers, 4c Children Books, and Illustrated program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Leads day to day project management of digital, social and in-store creative assets including project timelines
  • Manage and traffic all marketing project requests from the initiation of the project to final deliverables by maintaining knowledge of critical due dates and alerting the team of deadlines
  • Working with Marketing deadlines to ensure design delivers by established due dates
  • Attends weekly meetings and actively participates by giving status updates on all projects and assists in solving issues that cause delays with deliverables. These meetings include but are not limited to marketing status meetings, cover design meetings, and ongoing meetings with supervisors
  • Assists with critical processes for the 4-color publishing program with children’s board books and gift products
  • Assists with the coordination of the cover process for both adult and children’s books which may include note taking, awareness of the status of each project, and  managing deadlines
  • Manage and fulfil invoicing for the Creative Services team working with the Accounts Payable and Advertising  Operations teams for PO creation and SAP data entry

 

Essential Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in project management, preferably in the publishing industry
  • Genuine interest in project management, especially for Christian books
  • Familiarity with the book publishing process and willingness to learn systems
  • Strong understanding of creative workflows and marketing strategies
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent organizational abilities
  • Collaborative, self-starter, detail-oriented, problem-solver, and self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer skills—proficiency in MS, Excel, Outlook, Canva and ability to learn new applications
  • Manage and fulfil invoicing for the Creative Services team working with the Accounts Payable and Advertising  Operations teams for PO creation and SAP data entry

 

The salary for this position is $66,500. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
