About the Role

A client is seeking a talented mid-level animator to collaborate on an exciting personal project. This dark fantasy adventure delves into the lives of gifted students at an academy harbouring ancient secrets, tackling themes of power, sacrifice, and the challenges of facing a shadowy dimension. As the animator, you will help bring this world to life by illustrating dynamic and moody character designs and atmospheric backgrounds that capture the essence of this captivating story. This is a remote role with potential for future collaboration as the project evolves.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in 2D animation, with a portfolio showcasing character designs and background art.
  • Ability to create a dynamic, moody aesthetic that complements dark fantasy themes.
  • Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom, or similar tools.
  • Strong artistic skills in creating both characters and environments with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setup.
  • Availability to meet project deadlines and provide regular updates.
