The Manager of the Isotope Centre of Excellence will provide support for the Isotope Innovation projects and the Centre’s operations, ensuring the advancement of isotope research, production, and applications. This role requires a highly experienced person with a deep understanding of isotope science, research and development, and a proven track record of managing isotope supply.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Research and Development: Oversee the development and execution of cutting-edge research programs in isotope production and application. Facilitate collaboration between research teams and external partners to drive innovation and achieve breakthrough results.
  • Operational Management: Manage the Centre’s operations, including isotope production, quality control, and safety protocols. Ensure that all processes comply with regulatory standards and best practices in the industry.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including academic institutions, government agencies, industry partners, and regulatory bodies. Represent the Centre at conferences, meetings, and other forums.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the Centre’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities. Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support research and development initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all activities within the Centre adhere to relevant regulations and standards, including those related to safety, environmental protection, and intellectual property.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies to enhance the Centre’s capabilities and outcomes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related technical field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in isotope research, production, or related fields required. Experience in a research and development environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals. Experience in managing large-scale projects and complex operations.
  • Deep knowledge of isotope science, including production methods, applications, and regulatory considerations. Familiarity with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present complex information to a variety of audiences, including scientific, regulatory, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to anticipate and respond to industry trends and challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships including academic institutions, industry partners, and regulatory agencies.
