Responsible for signing new clients in the travel per diem and nursing and allied categories across acute care, sub-acute, home health, schools and telehealth environments. Responsible for building a robust pipeline within an industry standard CRM while growing business opportunities with existing clients and generating growth through exclusive staffing partnerships with clients. Utilizing effective consultative sales and servicing strategies in order to manage and cultivate new business opportunities for the development of long-term business partnerships while creating superior value for our clients. The Director of Business Development will also be responsible for providing support to other departments on special projects on an as needed basis.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  • Sales Functions:

    • Build and develop client relationships to increase job orders and market share.
    • Act as a liaison and single point of contact for all sales-related activities with new clients.
    • Onboard clients and collaborate with Account Management and Recruitment teams on contract details.
    • Analyze client business opportunities and threats.
    • Increase brand awareness, product presence, and revenue generation.
    • Collect and analyze data to develop and execute action plans.
    • Monitor sales data weekly.
    • Achieve and exceed revenue targets and sales objectives.
    • Use consultative sales strategies and closing techniques.
    • Generate job orders in targeted growth markets.
    • Ensure smooth client transitions to Account Managers and finalize provider placements.
    • Engage in market-driven activities and projects.
    • Conduct on-site visits with clients to strengthen relationships and understand needs.
  • Working Relationships:

    • Coordinate activities effectively with managers.
    • Keep management informed of area activities and significant problems.
    • Ensure effective communication among all managers and involved parties.
    • Attend required meetings (virtual and/or in-person), including internal meetings, client meetings, conferences, events, and seminars.
  • Related Duties:

    • Maintain a clean, secure, and well-maintained work area.
    • Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned.
    • Update job skills as required and communicate effectively with Account Management and Recruitment teams.

Performance Measurements:

  • Revenue Generation:

    • Number of new business contracts.
    • Number of placements from new business and retention.
    • Nurturing a business portfolio of opportunities.
    • Quarterly revenue goals.
    • Meeting counts and activity measurements.
  • Placements:

    • Meet or exceed JNP’s requirements for Gross Margin and Gross Profit targets.
    • New contracts must meet minimum spend opportunities and/or orders.
  • Client Penetration:

    • Penetration of new clients and obtaining new orders in targeted growth markets.
  • Credentialing Documentation:

    • Understand required credentialing documentation to ensure provider eligibility and communicate requirements to the Account Manager.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with client personnel, recognize problems, offer solutions, inform management, and make recommendations for improvement.


 

Experience Required:

  • Experience in Sales, with a proven track record of outstanding sales performance in the Healthcare Industry preferred.
  • Strong team player with superb interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a full-time remote position.
  • Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.
