Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for both a Senior Roadway Engineer in the Nashville area to work on major infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community.

Your projects could include new roadway designs, interstate widening/expansions, roundabouts,  intersection improvements, and roadway or bridge rehabilitations - just to name a few!

While the position would initially be remote, candidates must be based near Nashville, Tennessee.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately

  • Extract engineering information from CAD drawings

  • Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

  • Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes

  • Frequently interface with other Engineering disciplines and other departments

  • Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials

  • Review supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses

  • Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents

  • Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project

  • May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances

  • May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate

What Qualifications You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)

  • 8+ years of related work experience

  • Professional Engineer registration

  • Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering ​

  • Previous and relevant DOT experience

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
