Job description

As a Lead Business Systems Analyst specializing in GTM (Go-To-Market) Systems at Workiva, you will play a pivotal role in transforming and optimizing the lead-to-opportunity process. You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders across sales, sales operations, and product marketing to design and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, drive productivity, and align with the company’s growth objectives. Your role will include owning the roadmap for GTM systems, acting as a strategic partner to align business and technology, and influencing decisions to ensure the seamless integration of tools and processes across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner closely with business leaders, end-users, and cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements for optimizing the lead-to-opportunity process

  • Strategic Problem Solving: Take ownership of identifying business challenges and designing strategic solutions that enhance efficiency and drive productivity

  • Process Optimization: Assess and refine current lead-to-opportunity workflows, ensuring alignment with best practices and business goals

  • Technology Enablement: Leverage your understanding of the GTM tech stack (Salesforce Sales Cloud, SalesLoft, Xactly, 6Sense, Drift, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and more) to drive impactful improvements

  • Roadmap Ownership: Develop and maintain the roadmap for GTM systems, prioritizing initiatives that deliver measurable business impact

  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in GTM processes, using insights to inform system enhancements

  • Leadership & Influence: Build strong partnerships across teams, providing guidance and influencing decisions to ensure alignment with business objectives

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of related experience, or equivalent additional experience (experience working at a SaaS company or consulting with Salesforce partners is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Sales Cloud Knowledge: Deep understanding of lead-to-opportunity processes within Salesforce Sales Cloud, including optimization for efficiency and productivity

  • Business Acumen: Ability to assess business problems, develop strategic solutions, and communicate their value effectively

  • Self-Starter: Demonstrated ability to take ownership, drive initiatives, and navigate complex environments with minimal direction

  • Curiosity and Critical Thinking: Intrinsically curious and driven to ask “why” to uncover root causes and design impactful solutions

  • Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to work effectively with senior teams, contributing as a subject matter expert while fostering a collaborative team culture

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Embrace your inner wanderlust – expect up to 15% travel

  • Stay virtually untethered with the power of reliable internet access, enabling you to work remotely from your chosen spot, whether that's your home office or a beachside café
