Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Data Engineer with extensive experience in business intelligence (BI) tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms to join our dynamic Data Analytics team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end development of BI solutions, encompassing data modeling, transformational work, and visual development, to enable actionable insights across the organization. Your expertise will directly empower data-driven decision-making at scale.

Responsibilities

Own and Drive BI Tool Development
  • Design, develop, and optimize data models, reports, and dashboards in BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Leverage advanced transformational capabilities to ensure intuitive and high-performing visualizations.
  • Lead efforts to maximize user adoption and satisfaction with BI tools. Collaborate on Data Strategy
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify data needs and translate requirements into efficient BI solutions.
  • Work closely with the Data Warehouse team to build and maintain ETL pipelines for clean, reliable, and timely data delivery. Enhance Data Governance and Quality
  • Implement best practices for data governance, ensuring robust access controls, metadata management, and adherence to privacy standards.
  • Develop systems for monitoring data integrity and troubleshooting issues across pipelines. Innovate BI Practices
  • Advocate for and adopt emerging trends in BI engineering and data visualization.
  • Standardize reusable templates and design principles within Looker and Tableau. Enable Self-Service Analytics
  • Foster a culture of self-service by training teams on BI tools and providing user-friendly solutions tailored to business needs.

    Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles, with a focus on BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
  • Bachelors degree in Computer science, Information Technology or related field
  • Strong background in SQL, Python, and cloud-based platforms like Google BigQuery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end visual development in BI platforms, including transformational work and user experience optimization
  • Proven track record of aligning technical BI solutions with business objectives
  • Strong communicator and problem solver with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement Preferred Certifications

    Looker Certified Professional, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or Google Cloud Data Engineer.
