In this position you will be responsible for driving shopfloor digitalization within Huhtamaki’s Fiber Foodservice, comprising over 29 factories. This role will work in collaboration with local operations teams, Fiber Foodservice Operations & Technology teams, the Global Digitalization team and World Class Operations (WCO). Our WCO mandate is to eradicate losses and Non-Value-Added activities in manufacturing.

The goal of the role is to achieve our productivity targets as well as improve sustainability by reducing waste and energy of our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will support our Safety and Quality teams with a deployment of digital tools. Shopfloor digitalization is one of the cornerstones of Huhtamaki’s digital agenda.

Your key tasks are:

• Execute our shopfloor digitalization roadmap for Huhtamaki Fiber Foodservice.

• Shopfloor Digitalization projects in alignment with WCO masterplan.

• Align with key stakeholders, support process and tool implementation and share good practice to accelerate implementations.

• Support the plants in business case preparation and roll-out plans for replicating selected best practices across Huhtamaki factories.

• Develop KPIs and monitor their progress to ensure shopfloor digitalization targets are met.

• Work closely with the global IT team to develop and maintain reference architecture for manufacturing IT and OT solutions (excluding ERP).

• Collaborate with our central Digital Transformation team.

• Introduce external good practices and new interesting digital technologies to Huhtamaki.

• Be innovative and propose new ways of working to accelerate shopfloor digitalization.

Together with the respective business and function colleagues, you will maintain the shopfloor digitalization solution roadmap and ensure the successful implementation. You will manage the key partners and suppliers for Huhtamaki shopfloor digitalization solutions as well as maintain the technology and partner roadmap.  To be successful in the role, you will work closely with colleagues across the Huhtamaki global business and IT organization covering all continents and both hemispheres.

The requirements for a suitable candidate are:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mfg. Engineering, Science, Business, or equivalent experience. Preferably, Electronics Engineering or IT Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in leading or implementing digital IT shopfloor solutions in manufacturing company in an international environment.

• Good understanding of the trends, use cases and opportunities of shopfloor digitalization.

• Good understanding of continuous improvement methods is a plus. 

• Data-driven mindset and fact-based decision making.

• Hands-on working style, and ability to move quickly between big picture and critical details.

• Ability to get things done with both direct and indirect influence in multi-cultural environment with large number of stakeholders.

• Experience in managing partner and supplier relationships.

• Fluent English, written and spoken, Microsoft Office tools.

• Very good knowledge of databases.

• Ability to travel.

The location of the position is flexible across our European locations, and you will report to our Senior WCO Manager, Fiber Foodservice EAO.
