Job description

We are seeking a full-time remote Manager of Case Management. This position coaches, supports, and communicates with team members to achieve their best performance. They are responsible for the leadership of case management team members to ensure that their work meets productivity, quality, customer, and compliance requirements. The manager is a people leader who achieves results through developing their team and is a critical component in supporting our culture of being a great place to work.



Responsibilities:

  • Coach, support, and communicate with team members to achieve their best performance.
  • Oversee the daily operations of case management functions in their area, ensuring that the work meets productivity, quality, customer, and compliance requirements.
  • Hiring, training, and onboarding of new Case Manager team members.
  • Evaluate workloads for case management staff, proactively manage productivity and insure coverage for incoming referrals.
  • Responsible for the knowledge of jurisdictional rules and laws regarding case management services in their assigned areas. This includes but is not limited to ongoing monitoring and training of applicable changes.



Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, train, and supervise team members directly and indirectly, review their work and provide effective constructive feedback.
  • Ensure all team members understand, are trained in, and comply with Paradigm’s security requirements and policies.
  • Ensure all team members have the minimum level of IT system access required to effectively complete their Paradigm responsibilities.



Qualifications:

  • QRC credentials in MN required
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field and licensure as a health professional; or Certification as a Case Manager; or professional certification in a clinical specialty and at least five years’ experience as a case manager; and hold a certification as a case manager.
  • Leadership experience,
  • 5 years of Case Management experience in the workers compensation industry required



Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of current Microsoft operating system, and Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of proprietary company case management software
  • Decision making, clinical reasoning, and critical thinking skills
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution
  • The ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Remain informed with any jurisdictional changes impacting the area, and complete an attestation annually indicating understanding of that responsibility. Regulatory changes will be brought forth to the Compliance Director and the VP-Case Management Operations.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze data and situations
  • Ability to function as a member of a team
  • Ability to manage the unexpected
  • Ability to travel to meet employees, customers, and team members and work flexible hours often outside traditional business hours
  • Ability to perform a physical demands in the Light work Category
