The Role
Strada is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel, Labor & Employment law to join its dynamic Legal team. Reporting to VP Legal, this position will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice, strategic guidance, and operational support across all aspects of Labor & Employment law. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, management, and leadership teams, to ensure compliance with employment regulations and to develop forward-thinking policies that align with Strada’s business goals and values.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to Strada and provide critical legal and strategic advice on a wide range of issues involving Strada’s employees and workers, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Manage international external legal counsel to provide support to Strada Canada and Latam.
- Advise on federal, state, and local employment laws impacting Strada US.
- Ensure compliance with evolving employment laws and regulations across Strada's US, Canada and Latam operations.
Policy Development & Implementation
- Draft, review, and revise company policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to align with legal requirements and best practices.
- Support HR in the implementation of programs that foster diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Litigation & Risk Management
- Oversee and manage employment-related litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes.
- Partner with outside counsel to effectively manage litigation strategy and costs.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize potential legal exposure.
Training & Education
- Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on employment law topics, including anti-discrimination, workplace harassment, and wage compliance.
- Act as a thought leader, staying ahead of legal trends and communicating their impact to stakeholders.
Contract Review & Negotiations
- Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements, including executive contracts, separation agreements, non-competes, and confidentiality agreements.
- Support HR in handling collective bargaining agreements or union-related matters, if applicable.
Transactional and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a trusted partner to the HR, Compliance, and Risk Management teams, providing guidance on employment-related legal issues.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives, including workforce planning and organizational restructuring.
- Provide legal input during organizational changes such as mergers, acquisitions, or restructurings, including due diligence and employee transitions.

About You
- Degree in Law from an accredited law school.
- Minimum 8-10 years' combined experience as a practicing attorney in labor/employment law in top tier law firm(s) or in-house.
- Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Expertise in handling employment litigation, providing counsel and compliance in multi-state or global operations.
- Experience in managing external counsel.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to provide practical and business-oriented solutions.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, listening, presentation skills, ability to work and communicate in a diverse global organization.
- Team player, with cultural awareness and curiosity, willing to work with other functions and members of the global business.

112,700 USD
Maximum :
178,900 USD
