Job Summary

Exactus Energy is looking for a Business Analyst to work as part of our Software, IT and Data team. The ability to work independently while coordinating with other team members in a consultative manner will be important in ensuring success in this role. Our ideal candidate is adaptive, and able to grow with our company.

This position is a work from home position on EST business hours (9am to 5:30pm EST). The ideal candidate will be expected to provide their own workstation and high-speed internet connection. Please note, professional written and verbal English proficiency is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

Identify, analyze, research, prototype, and implement improvements to internal business processes and operations, including but not limited to data flow across teams and projects.
Create Prototypes (UI Wireframes, Process Flow Diagrams, Automation scripts/tools) for products/procedures to enhance business processes, operations and data flow
Define technical and functional requirements for new Software & IT solutions.
Design, implement and test software/IT solutions to resolve business needs.
Track project progress, proactively identifying and managing the resolution of risks and issues that may negatively impact the project, seeking innovative ways to remove project obstacles.
Ensure project milestones are met according to the planned schedule, continuously assessing time estimates and accounting for unexpected delays or changes.
Perform financial analysis and optimize costs for Software & IT solutions.
Conduct ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelors or Masters degree in business, computer science or related field.
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst handling end-to-end Technology Implementations.
Understanding of APIs and modern-day desktop, mobile and web architectures.
Experience writing complex SQL queries, functions/procedures to gather inputs for data analysis/modelling.
Strong understanding of SDLC - Traditional and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain technical ideas to a wide audience.
Strong organizational, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and in a team
Programming background in C# .NET is an asset.
Project management experience/PMP certification is an asset.
Experience with any cloud platform (GCP/AWS/Azure) is an asset.
