Overview

Are you creative and driven to assist fundraising through the development of easy to use resources such as procedures, tutorial videos or job aids?

Are you tech savvy with a strength and passion to dig into how complex software, databases and systems work?

Are you process minded with a passion for mapping out standardized work to drive efficient and effective fundraising?

Are you a collaborator that enjoys working across departments and functions to understand standardized work and develop clarity for team members?

We’re looking for someone who wants to use their skills and passions in process analysis and procedure development to support the fundraising readiness of cross-functional processes and systems across our marketing and fundraising teams, to include various support teams.

This entry level specialist analyzes standardized work across Compassion’s fundraising, marketing and support teams. That analysis is then used to create resources to help communicate and train these standards across teams.

But what does that even mean? Here’s an example – a core fundraising process here at Compassion is getting children sponsored and we often rollout new ways to do that well. This specialist will collaborate with stakeholders such as marketing leads building a new campaign, system engineers making modifications within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM), relationship managers & support executing these campaigns and various support teams to make things go off without a hitch. The core responsibility of this specialist will be to gather relative procedural steps, and put them in a gorgeous and easy to use resource so team members are equipped to carry out this standardized work. This specialist will then support the development and delivery of training this standardized work.

Here it is in the official job description language: This specialist works on programs to establish and maintain quality standards and continuous improvement for existing and proposed services and operations, as well as focusing operations on continuous quality improvement. This includes the development of policies, procedures and methods pertaining to operational components that ensure high quality and continuous improvement. At this entry level, the incumbent generally works independently on moderately complex processes or as a team member on larger projects.

What will you do?
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.

  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understand Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commit to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.

  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders and business owners to gather, analyze and understand standardized work and use of Compassion’s software/systems that are used in fundraising, increased productivity, improved effectiveness, and reduced cost.

  • Create resources in various formats to include procedures, videos, job aids, website articles and SharePoint pages to help communicate and train that standardized work.

  • Review and update those resources on a routine basis.

  • Partner with team members to continuously analyze and improve the overall readiness strategy across our fundraising teams to maintain learner journeys that include helpful and effective resources and training.

  • Use tools such as CreativeCloud, PowerPoint, Miro, Camtasia, Powtoon, Vimeo or others to make captivating, creative and effective resources to help team members know how to do their jobs with excellence.

  • Develop effective project plans and manage resources to collect, analyze and document process data.

  • Develop and deliver training to support the documentation that we’ve created.

What do you bring?
  • You’ve got 3+ years of education/experience in communication, marketing, education, process analysis, creative, business or other subject area that’s applicable to the job description.

  • You have a strong passion and are skilled in creating engaging resources in written/visual formats and documenting procedures.

  • You have a strong technical aptitude for computers, systems and software. You pick new things up quickly, you can troubleshoot technical stuff and you just really like knowing how things work when it comes to the technical stuff.

  • You’re a strong collaborator and communicator who is comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and business owners in a remote environment.

  • You’re resourceful, a go-getter, who can learn and adapt quickly.

We will be excited if:
  • You have familiarity with Salesforce.

  • You have familiarity of, and even some experience with Compassion. Maybe you’re a sponsor or you’ve worked as an intern, road rep, event facilitator or something similar.

  • You live within commuting distance of our headquarters in Colorado Springs. Much of what we do is connected with our headquarters, and being within commuting distance can greatly improve collaboration, cost-saving or support to projects that are physically located at HQ.

Why work here?
  • The mission: Join a team that is motivated to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.
