Laurentian Bank of Canada is looking for a Sr. Security Analyst with a focus on edge protection to join its IT security team.
The incumbent will be a key contributor to our IT security. This is an opportunity to join a great team of professionals with exciting challenges and responsibilities.
In addition, the incumbent evaluates and participates in the implementation and operation of security solutions in its field and participates in the development of policies, standards and procedures for security and ensures compliance. As well, he/she contributes to the IT security component of major projects for the Bank.
LBC is looking for a candidate with strong experience with edge protection technologies that include Web Application Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Network Detection and Response, DDoS Protection, Next Generation Firewalls, Web Filtering, DLP, and Email Protection.
Responsibilities
- Configure and administer edge protection technologies
- Perform troubleshooting issues related to edge protection technologies including IDS/IPS, DDOS Protection, Next Generation Firewalls, Web Filtering, DLP, Email Protection
- Serve as a subject matter expert in supporting F5 load balancers with Big-IP LTM, APM & ASM
- Optimize application delivery by implementing iRules, advanced traffic management, and performance tuning.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, software, devices and appliances in support of LBC Security infrastructure.
- Assist in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation.
- Conduct risk and impact analysis for business issues and propose recommendations to reduce risk.
- Develop security processes and procedures and supports service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained.
- Provide security expertise for secure application deployment.
- Keeping an eye out on the threat landscape and proactively update the security platforms as per the changing threat landscape.
- Secure and monitor cloud environments.
- Provide advice and technical expertise in developing and defining the Company’s information security program.
- Prepare network or infrastructure Visio topology diagrams, write Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance plans and provide status reports as required, participate in data calls and other operational and maintenance tasks
- Propose corrective measures to ensure compliance with stated IT security standards
- Assess the quality of the controls in place and the related risks
- Participate in cyber security incident resolution and analysis as related to edge technologies
- Ensure all security technologies in the edge protection portfolio are maintained for currency.
Qualifications
- Must have at least one, preferably more of the following Security certification GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH.
- Significant experience with supporting and maintaining F5 Big-IP load balancers to include set-up, maintenance, upgrades and replacement of the latest generation of F5s
- Extensive experience with Big-IP LTM and ASM modules in a large shared environment
- Demonstrate an ability to craft and understand iRules
- Experience with TCPDump, Wireshark and analyzing network traffic
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP network models and provide example
- Strong Knowledge of OWASP and MITRE-25 application vulnerabilities
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience with technologies in following areas:
- Network segmentation
- Firewalls
- WAF
- NDR
- IDS, IPS, NDR
- DDoS technologies
- Switching & Routing
- Knowledge of financial institutions laws and regulations
- Experience and knowledge of cloud security infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual (written and spoken) French and English is a strong asset
