We’re looking for a talented and passionate Senior Level Designer (f/m/x) to join our team immediately and help us bring dynamic, lifelike movements to our next generation of immersive worlds.

Your Quest:

As Senior Level Designer, you’ll be shaping the game world to guide players through and create engaging, varied gameplay scenarios. In addition you will collaborate on shaping workflows and processes of the Level Design department and help nurture our common vision and culture.

Level Creation:

  • Drive the planning, design, balancing, tuning, implementation and polish of interactive 3D levels that build on the creative direction of the product.
  • Strive to bring together a wide range of systems and elements that make up the game world and create immersive gameplay scenarios.
  • Ensure balanced pacing and cohesiveness of gameplay elements in level designs and see to players being able to instinctively navigate the game world.
  • Leverage powerful editors and scripts to move concepts and designs to actual implementation.
  • Resourcefully navigate constraints and challenges by finding creative solutions to work around them.


Ownership:

  • Take ownership of and assume a key role in driving the conceptualization of the game world and implementation of level design and gameplay scenarios in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide, receive and process feedback across level content and across the game.
  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership and responsibility in your day to day work and across disciplines.
  • Display a high amount of motivation and diligence in your work towards our common vision.
  • Support your Lead in managing the Level Design department by taking organisational responsibility, shaping processes, mentoring junior team members and nurturing team culture as a role model.


Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Become a full member of our design team.
  • Work closely with the Lead Level Designer to ensure the timely completion of tasks at the desired quality level.
  • Collaborate with other designers and departments (such as Level Art, Narrative) while shaping game world and features to create a cohesive vision and experience.
  • Ensure the communication and proper documentation of design work and gameplay systems.


Your Toolkit:

  • Experience : 5+ years professional experience in the field of game design, with strong work samples or online portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Level & Environment Authoring : Expertise in gameplay space design, level production and implementation of gameplay features into the game world.
  • Engine Proficiency : Strong knowledge in Unreal Engine 5 and preferably additional working knowledge of other professional game development editors.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player with strong communication skills and a passion for working in a creative, interdisciplinary environment.
  • Mindset : A positive, solution-oriented attitude, with a willingness to embrace challenges and learn from diverse perspectives.


You Get Extra XP For:

  • Experience in programming/scripting.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D production software such as Photoshop, Maya, Blender.
  • Prior work experience in adjacent disciplines such as Combat Design, Quest Design, UX Design, Art Disciplines.
  • Prior experience & responsibility in project or team management roles.
