Digital Website Marketing Specialist - REMOTE POSITION


JOB SUMMARY


The Digital Website Marketing Specialist Specialist is part of a dynamic team of marketing and IT professionals. This role is responsible for several key initiatives related to GBTA’s online marketing activities, including overall management of the Content Management System (CMS), web content strategy development, webpage creation and editing, and implementing and managing 3rd party tools on websites.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsibility for overseeing the content presented on all 8+ GBTA websites.
  • Responsible for creating, editing, posting, and updating content working within our CMS system.
  • Manage and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring smooth functionality, security, and performance.
  • Familiarity with WordPress plugins, themes, and customization options.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to content publishing and website functionality.
  • Track metrics for various platforms across websites, google ads etc.
  • Consult internal stakeholders on how to best execute web content plans. Build custom data-driven frameworks and solutions.
  • Keen understanding of UX and an ability to create user-friendly journeys.
  • As needed, recommend strategic improvements to the underlying software, tools, systems and processes to make web content management more efficient and relevant for GBTA constituents.
  • Other duties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of web UX/UI and/or marketing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) – preferably advanced experience with WordPress.
  • Good understanding of site architectures, Google Analytics, and UX.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 creation and editing.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver).
  • Displays a strong commitment to team goals and objectives.
  • Strong communication skills and must be able respond to internal staff requests in a clear and effective manner.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS


  • Association and/or travel industry knowledge preferred.
  • Multi-lingual is a plus.
  • Brightcove or any other video editing program.
  • Knowledge of email marketing software.
  • Knowledge of Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience implementing 3rd party tools on a website.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • Remote work environment.
  • Prolonged periods sitting/remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to remain stationary and move for long periods of time, during events.
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours in order to accommodate various meetings and events.

TRAVEL REQUIRED


  • Up to 5% of travel to events and meetings; based on organizational needs.
  • Possible travel to Annual Convention, GBTA related events, and meetings, as required.
