We are in need of a Director of Retail Sales related to the Utility market. You must have Retail Utility Sales experience to qualify.


The Director of Retail Sales is responsible for leading and managing the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, overseeing store operations, and driving revenue growth.


In this role you will work closely with senior management to align retail initiatives with the company's overall business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth. Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the retail sales team. Foster a high-performance culture and ensure continuous professional development.
  • Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Optimize store layouts, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a superior customer experience by implementing best practices in customer service and sales techniques. Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly.
  • Budget Management: Manage the retail sales budget, including forecasting, expense control, and resource allocation. Ensure financial targets are met.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives. Provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of retail initiatives with overall business goals. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion, including new store openings and partnerships. Conduct market research and feasibility studies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.


Required Skills/Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in utility retail sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Expertise in sales management, customer service, and retail operations.


Certifications:


Relevant certifications in sales or retail management are a plus.
