Job description

Note: This position requires bilingual fluency in English and French.


This is a unique opportunity to be part of an engineering organization with over 75 years' experience in producing high quality, world-renowned test and measurement equipment. As our Application Engineer based in the Montreal area, you will be supporting the sales and marketing channel, demonstrating products, providing training and application support to our wide-ranging customer base in Canada.


Responsibilities

  • Technical support for RF and microwave Test and Measurement instruments.
  • Develop and present local seminars and customer training sessions
  • Provide technical feedback to product line
  • Pre/Post-sales support, including customer demonstrations


Qualifications


  • BSEE (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of working in a customer facing role as an application engineer
  • Experience working with test equipment including spectrum/signal analyzers, signal generators and vector network analyzers
  • Strong understanding of RF and microwave measurement applications
  • Programming experience for instrument automation (Python, Matlab C/C++, Labview)
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as 5G, 4G, 802.11xx. Space and Satellite communication protocols
  • Experience supporting customers with a solid understanding of current electronic industry
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer interface skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the region and occasional international travel
  • English/French speaking mandatory
  • Position is based in Montreal. Candidates living in Ottawa may also be considered.
  • Canadian residency and current work authorization is required.
