We are seeking a B2B Content Writer & Editor to join our team and help craft compelling, insightful, and authoritative content that positions Parakeet as a thought leader in risk and compliance management. This is an exciting opportunity to work on engaging topics within the industrial sector and contribute to Parakeet’s content strategy.

Responsibilities

Crafting High-Impact Content

  • Research, write, and edit blog posts, white papers, case studies, and website copy focused on operational risk, compliance, ESG, and industrial efficiency for sectors like manufacturing, energy, and construction.
  • Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into accessible and engaging content for B2B audiences.
  • Assist in creating thought leadership pieces that provide unique insights into challenges like supply chain risk, sustainability, and compliance innovation.
  • Ensure all content communicates Parakeet’s value proposition effectively and aligns with audience needs.

Upholding Editorial Excellence

  • Adhere to Parakeet’s brand voice, tone, and style guidelines to maintain consistency and professionalism.
  • Conduct basic fact-checking and source verification to ensure accuracy and credibility.
  • Edit and proofread content to meet high standards for grammar, style, and clarity.

Content Planning & Strategy

  • Contribute to Parakeet’s content calendar and collaborate on ideas for articles, newsletters, and other materials.
  • Identify content opportunities based on industry trends and audience needs.
  • Optimize content using basic SEO principles to enhance discoverability without compromising quality.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work with marketing, product, and sales teams to align content with business goals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input to enhance content initiatives.
  • Manage content projects from start to finish, meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in content writing, editing, or related roles, preferably for B2B audiences.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to write clear, engaging, and professional content (please include samples).

Skills

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to research, synthesize information, and present it in a way that engages and informs B2B readers.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as Framer and newsletter platforms like Beehiv.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them to content.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Bonus Points

  • Experience writing about risk management, compliance, ESG, or related topics.
  • Knowledge of industrial sectors like manufacturing, energy, or logistics.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards or frameworks like ISO or ESG reporting.
