Job Description

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our market presence within the accounting software sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of financial technologies and a passion for building relationships with potential clients.

Location: 100% Remote role within proximity to Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver

Roles And Responsibilities

Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key partner stakeholders, including CFOs, accountants, bookkeepers and tax managers.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends and product developments to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
Partnership Development: Identify potential partnerships and alliances that can enhance our offerings and market reach. Attend industry events throughout the year.
Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the accounting software industry.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment in business development efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the accounting software or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial software solutions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Hubspot, Linkedin sales navigator, Openphone and Gon
