Job description

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Advanced Planning Writer to join our team on a one-year remote contract. This position requires a candidate residing in the Eastern time zone of the United States. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in creating Advanced Planning Documents (APDs) in support of the North Carolina Medicaid and Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain APDs and technology-related documentation for federal financial proposals within specified deadlines.
  • Collaborate intimately with agency management, project teams, and subject matter experts to thoroughly understand project requirements and ensure accurate and effective documentation.
  • Lead and facilitate document review meetings, ensuring comprehensive submissions to state and federal sponsors.
  • Organize and execute writing assignments in accordance with agency standards pertaining to clarity, order, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Conduct technical and detailed writing, editing, and proofreading for all necessary supporting documentation.
  • Employ a blend of advanced computer and analytical skills in task execution.
  • Uphold professional confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times.
