Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Foreman/Lead Man to join our esteemed, fast-paced non-union electrical firm dedicated to delivering exceptional electrical installations and maintenance services. Our reputation for outstanding customer satisfaction is built on reliable service and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise small teams of 1 to 4 mechanics and junior mechanics.
  • Interpret drawings and effectively lay out work areas.
  • Compile material lists and utilize job tracking documentation.
  • Manage the installation of EMT & PVC conduit, M/C, THHN & NMC cable, and both metal and plastic boxes.
  • Oversee electrical panels, meter pans, switchboards, and both overhead and underground services.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, service calls, and repairs.
  • Employ electrical testing apparatus as well as hand and power tools.
  • Adhere to the work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the option for overtime.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate small crews effectively.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and planning work areas.
  • Experienced in generating material lists and maintaining job tracking forms.
  • Knowledgeable in installation techniques for EMT, PVC conduit, M/C, THHN, and NMC cable.
  • Competent in handling electrical panels, meter pans, switchboards, and services.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities for service calls and repairs.
  • Skilled in using various electrical test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the electrical sector is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Vocational training in electrical work is a plus.
