What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Provide consultative support and analysis of medical cost drivers and network initiatives
• Extract, analyze, and synthesize data to identify risks and opportunities for the employer
• Collaborate with clinical and provider network personnel to enhance data visualization and context
• Develop actionable items by identifying outlier cost issues and advising on contracting opportunities
• Document and manage all aspects of projects from initiation to completion
  
  

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics
• 5 - 7 years of experience in the healthcare/managed care industry with knowledge of provider contracting and reimbursement
• Ability to analyze and research medical cost drivers and trends
• Proficiency in Excel, MS-Access, and web-based query tools
• Strong skills in data extraction and management from large data sources
  
  

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics
• Experience with medical and pharmacy claims, authorization data, and benefits design
• Knowledge of business functions and their impact on financials, including underwriting and product development
