As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a detail-oriented, methodical, and innovative QA Engineer to ensure the reliability and quality of our product as we expand our offerings and enhance user experiences.

The Role

We’re seeking a Software Engineer in Test who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You will play a pivotal role in testing and quality assurance across Bree’s ecosystem, from our mobile app to backend systems. You will focus on identifying and resolving issues, ensuring smooth user experiences, and driving efficiency through automation. Working closely with developers, product teams, and data analysts, you’ll help optimize our systems and processes to deliver a high-quality, seamless product.

What You’ll Do

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for both front-end and back-end systems, including manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure functionality.
• Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression testing to confirm that new features or updates do not disrupt existing functionality.
• Funnel Monitoring: Monitor user funnels, including drop-offs during onboarding processes like bank and debit card connections, and generate daily reports on failures and areas for improvement.
• Bug Tracking & Resolution: Verify and document reported bugs, collaborate with developers to resolve issues, and ensure fixes are thoroughly tested before deployment.
• Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test suites for APIs, web, and mobile applications to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Performance Analysis: Work with cross-functional teams to identify strategies to improve system reliability and regression testing efficiency.
• Daily Reporting & Collaboration: Provide detailed daily reports on testing outcomes, bug statuses, and performance metrics while working closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  
  

Who You Are

• A detail-oriented software engineering professional with a strong understanding of software quality assurance processes and testing best practices.
• Proficient in both manual and automation testing, with expertise in API testing and automation frameworks.
• Experienced in testing mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms, as well as web applications.
• Familiar with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and message queue technologies like SQS.
• Highly analytical, with the ability to monitor and analyze user funnel metrics such as drop-offs and conversion rates.
• A strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience designing, implementing, and executing test plans, tools, and frameworks for both manual and automated testing.
• Proven expertise in both front-end and back-end testing, including experience with API automation testing and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and message queue technologies like SQS.

• Demonstrated experience in testing mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms.
• Knowledge of software QA best practices, including strategies for improving regression testing efficiency and overall application reliability.
