We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Director to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our data and analytics products, with a focus on our data warehouse and its associated applications. This role is crucial in driving data-driven decision-making across Emerald and empowering our business units with actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision: Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Emerald's data warehouse and related data products, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with executive stakeholders across various business units to understand their data needs and translate them into detailed product requirements and user stories.
- Backlog Management: Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is constantly prioritized based on business value, dependencies, and strategic alignment.
- Sprint Planning & Execution: Lead sprint planning sessions, define sprint goals, and ensure the engineering team has a clear understanding of priorities and deliverables.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Proactively communicate product updates, roadmap changes, and key performance indicators to stakeholders across the organization.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze product performance, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on the product roadmap based on data and feedback.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on data and analytics products.
- Proven experience in building and managing data warehouses and related applications.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
- Familiarity with data governance and data privacy best practices preferred.
- Experience in the events or media industry preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Target Compensation: $160,000-185,000 (bonus eligible)
