Summary

As a YA Senior Contents Consultant, you will provide high quality consulting services relating to content losses of significance for YA’s customers, which include insurance companies, third-party adjusters and independent businesses and insureds. YA Senior Contents Consultants are responsible for working independently on small to medium sized projects or on a team in cases of larger, complex losses in an effort to manage each of our clients’ business and operations in defining and controlling costs associated with damaged contents. Senior Contents Consultants are expected to use a large measure of independent judgement, considering, and weighing alternatives when appropriate, taking into account the financial and operational significance of the services you are performing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple projects at a time to coordinate all aspects of a project including scheduling, staffing, conducting quality reviews of junior consultant work, and ensuring all project deliverables and timelines are met.
  • Conducts site inspections and physical inventories to evaluate and quantify contents damage for clients to help determine total loss versus salvageable contents.
  • Reviews and synthesizes content descriptions, measurements, photos, sketches, and other relevant information to conduct pricing efforts, determining the cash value of the contents at the time of the loss versus the current value.
  • Performs analysis of invoices, budgets, schedules, and reports on behalf of the clients.
  • Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and cost management during all phases of the project.
  • Participates in regular client meetings and supports business development initiatives.
  • Works independently on small inspections and physical inventories and as part of a team on large, complex projects.
  • Provides technical oversight and support to junior consultants.
  • Maintains job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-4 years of relevant contents, restoration or insurance experience.
  • Frequent regional travel required.
  • Xactimate experience preferred.
