How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice:

The Vice President of Retail Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the retail sales strategy for Paula’s Choice across North America Wholesale. This role will lead and inspire a high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and enhance brand presence in the competitive beauty industry. This role will be key in building strong relationships with our retail partners to ensure sales opportunities are maximized.

As a VP of Retail Sales, a typical day might include a mix of the following:

  • Strategic leadership to drive market share gains and grow brand awareness in our #1 market
  • Foster a culture of high performing and collaborative sales professionals to solidify Paula’s Choice as a best-in-class wholesale organization
  • Set the three-year retail sales strategy that will accelerate brand recognition and revenue
  • Establish and maintain stellar partnerships with retail partners
  • Partner with internal cross-functional leads to establish best-in-class wholesale S&OP for the entire organization
  • Create and communicate clear action plans to optimize results and ensure effective execution of operational activities for all channels of distribution
  • Thought leader

The Details:

  • Location: Seattle, WA preferred
  • Hours: Typical PST Business Hours, some flexibility
  • Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time
  • Travel requirements: Up to 30%. Would require monthly visits to Seattle.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • +10 years leading a top 10 beauty brand in US wholesale channels including Sephora
  • Proven track record in account management
  • Ability to significantly impact retail sales by assessing business opportunities, creating product ideas, developing marketing strategies, and following through to impeccable execution
  • Ability to set a 3-year strategic roadmap and translate into country specific annual plans
  • Deep understanding of internal operations and retailer operations to maximize revenue while minimizing risk to P&L with strong cost and inventory management
  • Adept at managing multi-faceted promotional and new product introduction calendars as well as account inventory planning and sales analysis
  • Demonstrated experience identifying multiple business-driving strategies including but not limited to assortment opportunities, inventory management, retailer marketing, brand marketing, org structure, sales strategies (internal and external), and more
  • Strong creative skills balanced by a highly analytical, hands-on and detail-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated team player who has the influencing and negotiating skills to positively affect and implement decisions across the organization
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytic and financial acumen including daily, weekly, monthly reporting and P&L management

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

$200,000 - $240,000 USD/annually

We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
