Basic Function
The Sales Operations Analyst is to provide key reporting and analysis that supports Sales growth and retention. The role will manage all Sales-related data under the supervision of the Director of Sales Enablement. Job duties include collecting data, reviewing current clients, analyzing market trends, running the numbers, and creating detailed reports. The main goal of a sales analyst is to develop strategies that improve sales productivity for the organization.
This support will include but is not limited to aggregating data files, generate/calculate various revenue reports, Year over Year reporting, monitoring sales metrics, compensation administration, retention, terminations, forecasting, deep dive analytics, platform administration. The role will also partner to create and implement new sales analytic tools for both the Executive team and account executives. Sales enablement is a strategic, ongoing process that equips Sales Professionals with training, best practices and a variety of sales tools through business analytics.
Major Job Accountabilities
Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Sales reporting and analysis that supports Sales growth and retention.
- Production and development of sales related financial and forecasting reports with comp modelling,
- Track and analyze key metrics – pipeline growth, quota attainment etc.
- Compile key pieces of information related to performance against sales commitments.
- Proactively analyzes win-loss data and reports on key findings to sales leadership.
- Reporting and analysis for the Sales and Marketing departments, with key metrics and KPIs, campaign tracking and analysis, and ad hoc strategic analysis
- Implements and manages reports and dashboards in Salesforce with basic administration duties.
- Commission Administration – Supervise, track and manage monthly production to ensure accurate commission payouts against compensation plans, as coordinated through Director of Sales Enablement.
- The Analyst shall manage administration pieces of the compensation plan, hierarchy setup and territories controls, account transitions, and plan details.
- Sales Quarterly Reviews – maintain line of sight on SF reporting and ensuring the team is keeping all data points up to date.
- Territory Audit and gatekeeper
- Misc. Sales Enablement support and ad hoc reporting
- Assist Director of Sales Enablement with enhancements and improvements to various processes, including newsletter distribution, termination reporting, AM retention, case management and workflows
- Market research and competitive analysis
Sales Enablement Responsibilities
- Support Sales Enablement Training Content - assist with developing content for Sales training meetings, with collaboration and direction from Director of Sales Enablement such as System Manuals, Training Class Support Materials, Job Aids, and Reference Guides
- Collaborate with Manager of Sales Enablement in support of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- New Products and SF Project launches - assist with the implementation and training for new products, roll outs, programs and equipment, and updated processes.
- Subject Matter Expert – Demonstrate comprehension of all operational programs and systems in the company. Serve as a subject matter expert for sales training, product knowledge, sales processes, sales platforms and operations procedures.
- Miscellaneous Sales operational support
Minimum Qualifications
Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
Education
- 3+ years in a Business Analyst or similar role
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business accounting, marketing or finance
- Equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience
- Superior Excel Skills: VLOOKUP, Index, Pivot, Conditional formatting, Charts, data simulations, Macro
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and CRM software
- Organizational Astuteness, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Lean Six Sigma
- This person must have the ability to meet strict deadlines, while working under pressure with a high skill set for multitasking.
- Experience in sales analysis and reporting
- Experienced data analysis skills with research and reporting
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to express requirements and expectations to a wide range of individuals.
- Resolves administrative problems and offer guidance by researching, testing, analyzing information and then identifying solutions to various teams.
- Experience in salesforce administration and/or Tableau Analytics a bonus
