Position: Operational Resilience and Governance Analyst

The role:

This role is key to supporting Hiscox on our journey to enhance and mature our Operational Resilience capabilities, ensuring we can recover quickly from unexpected events while continuing to serve our customers and support our colleagues. You will play a vital role in embedding the Operational Resilience framework, contributing to its continuous improvement, assisting with regular reviews of Important Business Services (IBS) and their supporting resources, and supporting the administration of scenario testing initiatives.

The role will also involve providing administration and analyst support to the Operations Governance and Operations Support teams as needed, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and fostering collaboration across functions.

This role requires strong organisational skills, the ability to optimise existing processes, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain expertise in Operational Resilience and Governance practices while building technical and transferable skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the regular review and enhancement of Important Business Services (IBS), impact tolerances, and resource mappings.

  • Create and maintain templates, documentation, and reports, ensuring they are accurate and insightful.

  • Prepare and support scenario testing, including drafting documents and templates, inputting data, compiling findings and tracking actions and  vulnerabilities to closure.

  • Produce MI reports for the team as required, analysing and summarising data with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Maintain and govern the Operational Resilience Third-Party Register, ensuring it is regularly updated.

  • Support risk acceptances for third-party suppliers and delegated authorities to meet deadlines by pulling together appropriate data for senior management review.

  • Acknowledge, track, and progress Operational Resilience Impact Assessments (ORIA) for business changes, ensuring reviews are completed effectively.

  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment, progress on initiatives and effective communication on Operational Resilience activities.

  • Manage the Operational Resilience Mailbox, responding to queries and escalating promptly when needed.

  • Maintain and update the Operational Resilience SharePoint site, process library, training materials, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance

  • Provide a wide range of administration and analyst support to the wider Operational Resilience, Governance and Support teams.

  • Assisting with non – Operational Resilience related tasks including updating Shield, analysing data, managing mailboxes and data entry.
