About the Team
As a member of our diverse and skilled North America Solution Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to showcase the power of the Workday Student application to prospects and customers alike. It is this team's job to bring the value of Workday Student to life and demonstrate how the experience for students and student administrators will be transformed. In addition to working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.
About the Role
Workday is looking for a Solution Consultant, HCM for our Non-Profit team.
At Workday, Solution Consultants are responsible for partnering with the sales teams and delivering product demonstrations to business users including the offices of the CHRO, CIO, and CFO to highlight the value of Workday's platform as a true business decision making solution. Through interactive and engaging Sales engagements you will analyze an organization’s environment and then propose and demonstrate how Workday's Enterprise Solutions can address their requirements and solve their business concerns. As a Workday Solution Consultant - HCM, you will use your in-depth product knowledge to provide HCM expertise to the sales team and the customers.
Solution Consultants are involved throughout the sales cycle from initial qualification, discovery through tailored product demonstrations, deep dives and including executive level presentations. You will act as a trusted adviser to prospects and customers and provide consultation on product capability and value.
Responsibilities include:
The delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.
Assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training.
Contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans.
Supporting all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives.
Assist sales in the response to RFIs.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
About You
Basic Qualifications
Sr. Solution Consultant
5+ years of HCM domain expertise and experience across HCM functions such as HR, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting and/or Learning
- 4+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based human capital management applications (e.g. Workday, Netsuite, Sage Intacct, Infor, SAP, Oracle, etc.
- 3+ years in a solution consulting, consulting AND/OR implementation role
Solution Consultant
- 3+ years of HCM domain expertise and experience across HCM functions such as HR, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting and/or Learning
- 2+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based human capital management applications (e.g. Workday, Netsuite, Sage Intacct, Infor, SAP, Oracle, etc.
- 1+ years in a solution consulting, consulting AND/OR implementation role
Other Qualifications:
Experience in Non-Profit HCM presales, or as a non-profit practitioner preferred
Previous consulting experience with a consulting/Software company preferred.
Proven track record in a Presales / Sales Consulting role
Experience presenting administrative computing solutions in front of a technical and business audience
Experience of valued based selling
A self-starter with a desire to learn and grow.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work under pressure and work on multiple projects individually as well as being part of different teams.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
