About this role  

PlanetBids is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to join our team and drive the success of our projects and initiatives. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of programs that align with our mission to provide innovative procurement solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage resources, ensure timely deliverables, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders. Role Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with IDEA team leadership to improve and enhance software delivery, including facilitating agile processes and ceremonies with the scrum teams 
  • Manage multiple programs from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders 
  • Provide regular updates on program status, risks, and outcomes to project teams and leadership members 
  • Coordinate efforts across departments, including R&D, customer support, sales and marketing, to ensure seamless program execution 
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies 
  • Work with leaders to appropriately allocate resources to effectively achieve program objectives within budget and time constraints 
  • Implement best practices and standardized methodologies for program management 
  • Identify and use KPIs and metrics to assess program performance 
Requirements

 

Required and Desired Skills 

  • Proficient in program management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall 
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams 
  • Experience with project management tools 
  • Ability to align program goals with organizational strategy 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels 
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and resources simultaneously 
  • Attention to detail to ensure programs are executed effectively and efficiently 
  • Competence in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks throughout the program lifecycle 
  • Experience in optimizing workflows and introducing innovative practices 
  • Willingness to embrace and drive change within the organization 
  • Skilled at negotiating with stakeholders to achieve program outcomes 
  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as within a team in a remote work environment 
  • As a requirement, all candidates must be physically based in the United States and able to legally work for any employer.
