Position: Business Unit Leader

Location: UK - Remote with travel for team get-togethers, conferences and customer meetings

Summary of Role

The ideal Business Unit Leader will have a software engineering background and will lead the team and grow the business unit through people-centred leadership. The primary focus will be on leading people and driving business growth, rather than active coding or system architecture. However, a software engineering background will be useful in understanding the principles that make the BEAM ecosystem so great and will support business development efforts.

Responsibilities include

  • Strategic leadership of technology and innovation, defining the direction of the business unit to meet growth forecasts and OKR’s

  • Networking and driving growth initiatives to support sales and the business pipeline

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across other business units both within Erlang Solutions and the wider Trifork Group

  • Overseeing customer projects and liaising with third parties

  • Managing the team, ensuring utilisation and resource allocation

  • Financial planning to achieve growth and EBITDA targets

  • Oversight of legal and administrative tasks

About You

  • A software engineering background with a Computer Science degree (or other relevant degree)

  • Proven experience leading software development teams with a good track record of retaining talent

  • People-centred leader that will build strong relationships and sustain a positive and trusting culture within the business unit

  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic foresight, adept at market understanding and growth opportunity identification
