Under broad supervision, responsible for selling products and/or services to a group of clients and identify new and potential customers in order to reach the project profitability and billing levels within an assigned sales territory and/or account. Activities include: negotiation, sale, installation or delivery, and post-sale services. Responsible for securing and maintaining distribution of products and/or services and maintaining effective agreements. Handles less complex assignments and partners with more senior representatives or supervisor to close sales when necessary. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

Scope of position:

  • Territory Sales Representative to AP and Marmon aftermarket products in specified territory.
  • Collecting, analyze, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data from various retail operations to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions regarding sales, inventory management, pricing, customer behavior, and overall business performance.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to generate reports and visualizations that support informed decision-making within the retail environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract and gather data from multiple sources including sales reports, inventory systems, customer loyalty programs, point-of-sale data, market research, and web analytics. 
  • Clean, organize, and transform data to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis. 
  • Conduct statistical analysis using appropriate techniques to identify trends, correlations, and patterns within the data. 
  • Work with finance on providing deal requirements/analysis for approval 
  • Establish relationship internally with all departments to improve Retail customer needs and trends.
  • Work with operations on SOP meetings to provide forecasting and retail movement by SKU to improve fill rate and communications. 
  • Provide PM/Cataloging retail sales trends and opportunities for sales growth by SKU.

Sales Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor sales trends by product category, location, and time. 
  • Analyze sales conversion rates, average transaction value, and customer acquisition costs. 
  • Identify areas of strong and weak sales performance and develop strategies to optimize sales. 
  • Monitor order fill

Inventory Management Analysis:

  • Analyze inventory levels, stock turnover rates, and demand forecasting. 
  • Identify potential issues with overstocking or understocking and recommend adjustments to inventory strategies. 
  • Optimize product assortment based on customer demand and sales data. 

Customer Behavior Analysis:

  • Analyze customer demographics, purchase history, and loyalty program data to understand customer segments. 
  • Identify customer trends and preferences to inform targeted marketing campaigns and product development. 
  • Identify retail programs to help drive cross promotions (AZO – Fix Finder Program)

Pricing Analysis:

  • Evaluate pricing strategies and their impact on sales and profit margins. 
  • Analyze competitor pricing to inform pricing adjustments. 

Reporting and Visualization:

  • Create clear and concise reports with data visualizations (graphs, charts) to communicate insights to key stakeholders. 
  • Present findings and recommendations to management, highlighting key areas.

Travel as required: attending Retail shows when necessary and perform DC/Store visits to see first hand how data is being used at DC/Store level. Be available for AP changeovers company wide.
 

Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.
