Lead the delivery of enterprise security operations supporting multiple FISMA systems, ensuring integration of cyber security into all management and work practices. Oversee security control implementation, monitoring, and compliance activities while managing infrastructure security through modern Infrastructure as Code practices. Drive continuous security improvement through effective remediation planning and implementation.

How you will make an Impact

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled professionals to perform security implementation with Customer IT Security
  • Manage security operations for multiple FISMA systems
  • Oversee security monitoring, detection & response using Customer CISO-owned tools
  • Direct security control implementation and verification activities
  • Lead security assessment and authorization processes
  • Manage Infrastructure as Code security processes
  • Drive security remediation planning and execution
  • Oversee POA&M development and tracking

What you will need to succeed

Required skills and demonstrated experience:

  • Demonstrated experience managing FISMA system security operations
  • Experience implementing and verifying security controls
  • Experience maintaining security system components and configurations
  • Experience with security monitoring, logging, and response activities
  • Experience developing and implementing security remediation plans
  • Experience with POA&M management and tracking
  • Experience with NIST SP 800-53 controls implementation
  • Experience supporting security control assessments
  • Experience conducting security risk assessments
  • Experience developing and maintaining security documentation (SSPP, status reports)
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code security practices
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience with configuration and change management
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment tools

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a pertinent technical field or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years security operations experience

Required Certifications

  • Security+ CE (or one or more of CISSP, CISM, CCSP)
  • ITIL v4 Foundations Certification

Desired

  • CISSP or CISM
  • CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
  • DevSecOps or automation certifications
  • Experience with security automation capabilities
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
  • Familiarity with CISA BODs, EDs, and KEVs

Position Details:

  • Remote with travel to GDIT and Customer locations
  • Travel: up to 25%, mostly within the US.
  • Must be able to pass a government security investigation for Public Trust

The likely salary range for this position is $121,680 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
