OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Director, Product Management who wants to help shape the future of elections with innovative, data-driven solutions. You will lead the strategy, development, and delivery of our election technology products, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and scalable.


Reporting to the VP, Elections Products, the Director, Product Management will define and execute the product roadmap, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of election administrators. This role involves overseeing cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and actively engaging with customers to deliver impactful results.


As the Director of Product Management, you will play a critical role in defining our strategy and driving the development of advanced data and technology solutions to support our mission.

  • Develop and execute a product strategy aligned with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements based on market research, customer feedback, and technical feasibility.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and maintenance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers and analysts, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Set clear expectations, establish performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations to ensure team success.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams, to align on product objectives and execution.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the product team and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proactively gather input from diverse stakeholders to ensure product development aligns with business priorities and user needs.
  • Establish and nurture customer relationships to deeply understand their needs, gather feedback, and drive product adoption.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, customer meetings, and workshops to advocate for product vision.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the election technology space.
  • Analyze customer pain points and competitor activities to inform product strategy and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to identify new market opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for optimization.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and refine product offerings.
  • Support business development efforts, including responding to RFPs, creating product demonstrations, and aligning product strategy with sales goals.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on election technology or related industries.
  • Proven experience managing and developing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, and partners.
  • Successful track record of launching and managing complex software products.
  • Strong understanding of the election technology landscape and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in election technology and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of election administration processes and regulations.
  • Experience developing enterprise cloud-based products.
  • Familiarity with government or public sector organizations.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner).
  • Expertise in data analytics and data-driven decision-making.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
  • May be required to work on-call or long hours, if necessary, in case of serious network malfunction.
