Medical Billing Specialist

This is a remote position.

• Complete Orders on Jot forms.
  
• Update the WC RFA TRACKER daily and follow up on authorization.
  
• Assist the WC team with out-of-office referrals.
  
• Schedule P2P.
  
• Process Denials/Appeals.
  
• Update daily WC Denial tracker.
  
• Replying to incoming emails (this is a crucial responsibility of yours and should be taken very seriously).
  

• Create charts for new workers compensation patients.
  
• Request authorizations for all new workers compensation referrals.
  
• Obtain determinations for treatment /services requested.
  
• Update new patient, denial, and workers compensation order tracker on a daily basis.
  
• Process denials.
  

Requirements

• HMO and PPO or insurance experience is a plus.
  
• Must have experience in the medical field or healthcare industry.
  
• Good communication is the key to success.
  
• Excellent customer service skills
  
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
  
• Ability to work independently and remotely
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams
  
• Experience with Jot Forms or similar software is preferred, but not required
