You will join our Global Embedded Audio department for the EMEA region in the position of:
Account Manager – Embedded Audio
About the Role:
As an Account Executive for the HARMAN Embedded Audio Sales Team, you will interface with key customers in the region to achieve the business targets and represent the HARMAN Embedded Audio business unit. Your primary focus will be on winning new customer partnerships through effective sales outreach. You will help to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention by supporting the account day-to-day activities.
While supporting the Sales Director on large key accounts, you will have the opportunity to own the business relationship on selected customer accounts. Responsibilities will also include supporting various business development activities to grow the sales funnel.
We are looking for candidates based in either: The Netherlands, France, the UK, Denmark, Germany or Poland.
Your Team:
You will report to the Director of Sales, EMEA - HARMAN Embedded Audio.
What You Will Do:
- Identify and secure strategic business partnerships to expand market reach.
- Understand customer needs using the Harman Embedded Audio (HEA) NTI Platform to create tailored value propositions.
- Analyze key HEA strategic verticals to identify opportunities, key players, and market trends.
- Coordinate with global cross-functional teams, especially in China, for seamless project execution.
- Develop and present business plans and reviews to key customers, ensuring alignment with product and revenue forecasts.
- Advise dealers, distributors, and clients on sales and advertising techniques to boost system content revenue.
- Act as a liaison between customers and HEA functional areas for effective communication and issue resolution.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, product roadmaps, and marketing programs in collaboration with functional and support teams.
- Utilize sales automation platforms for order entry, inventory inquiries, and customer order fulfillment, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Plan and execute key customer business reviews and technology shows, leveraging tools to calculate project financial metrics like profitability.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or technical sales, with a focus on Consumer Electronics Embedded Audio.
- Proficient in solution selling techniques and methodologies.
- Proven ability to generate new business through cold calling and networking.
- Experience working in global matrix organizations, collaborating across diverse teams and cultures.
- Expertise in developing and selling embedded audio systems, DSP, SaaP/SaaS, finished goods, components, licensing, and services.
- Strong existing relationships within the embedded audio industry.
- Skilled in using sales automation tools and account planning software.
- Experienced in strategic selling, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
- In-depth knowledge of acoustic technologies (speakers and microphones) and embedded audio software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of thriving in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
What is Nice to Have:
- Master’s Degree in related field.
- Experience in licensing, revenue sharing and creative business models.
- Product Management or Product Planning experience.
- Sales and product strategy knowledge.
- Global Work Experience.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other major CRM.
- Bilingual (English and another European language or Mandarin).
What Makes You Eligible:
- Be willing to travel up to 50%, domestic and international travel
- This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the Northridge, CA office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)
