The ideal candidate will ensure that all necessary data—both current and historical—is successfully migrated from legacy systems to Oracle Fusion, supporting seamless operation post-implementation. The Data Migration Lead will also drive automation initiatives, streamline manual reconciliation processes, and ensure compliance with best practices.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop a comprehensive data migration plan aligned with overall program objectives.
- Define the resource requirements to execute the migration effectively within project timelines.
- Establish and manage risk identification, mitigation, and resolution strategies for data migration challenges.
- Design and implement a quality management framework to ensure data accuracy and integrity post-migration.
- Collaborate with Program Leadership to implement remediation plans for risks and issues.
- Lead ETL engineers in performing data migration activities efficiently.
- Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for structured and unstructured data.
- Work closely with Finance teams to manually validate data and later automate validation processes.
- Monitor and report progress of data migration at the project level, ensuring adherence to program timelines.
- Operate and maintain migration tools as needed for execution.
- Drive initiatives to move manual reconciliation upstream into the database for automation and scalability.
- Assist business and technical teams in identifying issues within the exception process and implement automation solutions.
- Maintain project tracking tools (e.g., Jira) for visibility into all data migration activities.
- Conduct regular standups to manage work progression through each project stage.
- Present migration plans and progress reports to project and program boards.
- Work with Solution Architects and the PMO to establish a standard data migration methodology.
- Document processes, methodologies, models, and artifacts related to data migration for auditability.
Must haves and Qualification Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Migration Lead in enterprise-scale implementations.
- Strong background in data modeling, ETL processes, Data Reconciliation, Data Migration QA, and data quality management.
- Hands-on experience with data migration tools and methodologies.
- Expertise in working with structured and unstructured data.
- Proficiency in automation strategies for reconciliation and validation.
- Familiarity with Jira and Agile methodologies for project tracking.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data dependencies and define scalable migration strategies
Nice to have Skills/Qualifications
- Prior experience with Oracle Fusion or similar enterprise platforms.
- Understanding of data migration challenges and best practices to Oracle fusion.
- Experience working with other consulting-led implementations.
