Developer/Programmer Analyst III (100% Remote - Texas Region)

  • Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation - National Agency Check with Law and fingerprints. (Standard Form 85).

  • Type of Employment: Full-time = 40 hours per week.
  • Period of Performance: 17 February 2025 to 31 August 2025 renewable three (3) option years
  • Estimate Pay: $35.00 to $37.50

Working Hours:

Work is typically scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday - with the option to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The working position is Telework. While the schedule may need to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week or 850 hours total. The contractor may be occasionally called upon for after-hours as needed.

Summary:

This senior role involves advanced analysis to support, improve, and enhance databases and reports for a large project. It requires strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedures. The worker will solve complex problems, provide thought leadership, manage project scope, and update project status. High proficiency in data aggregation and analysis is essential. The position is part of IT-SEDS (Information Technology Statewide Education Data System) and follows an Agile-like SDLC process for code changes. The role collaborates with multiple agency stakeholders to ensure accurate and effective reports for Texas's 1200 school districts.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • At least 8 years - Skill in designing, coding and supporting using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
  • At least 8 years - Integrating Database with Java applications
  • At least 8 years Unit Testing
  • At least 8 years Agile

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Database and Jasper Reports Development
  • Documentation
  • Bugs: Core and PEIMS projects
  • Dev/Unit Testing
  • Participate in Agile development
  • Advanced Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis to support, improve, and enhance databases and reports for a large project.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize strong SQL, PL/SQL, and Stored Procedure skills to manage and manipulate data.
  • Problem Solving: Develop innovative solutions to complex problems and provide thought leadership.
  • Project Management: Oversee project scope, timelines, and deliverables, providing regular updates on project status.
  • Data Aggregation and Analysis: Demonstrate high proficiency in aggregating and analyzing data to generate insights.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of reports.
  • SDLC Adherence: Follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for code changes and releases.
  • Support for School Districts: Ensure that reports meet the needs of Texas's 1200 school districts, providing them with accurate and actionable data.
