Job description

Job Summary:

The Virtual Assistant - Compensation and Benefits will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of employee compensation, benefits programs, payroll administration, and related HR functions. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Responsibility

  • Assist in the administration of employee compensation programs, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance with local laws.
  • Handle payroll processing tasks including data entry, review of timecards, and coordination with payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Administer benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
  • Maintain and update employee records related to compensation and benefits in HR databases.
  • Address employee inquiries about pay, benefits, and other compensation-related matters.
  • Assist with compensation surveys and benchmarking efforts to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Generate reports and analyses related to payroll, benefits, and other compensation metrics.
  • Support HR leadership in developing and revising compensation policies and structures.
  • Help in drafting and updating benefits communications and program documentation.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers as needed for benefits administration.
  • Other urgent ad-hoc tasks outside C&C when needed.
  • Must demonstrate flexibility in handling a variety of tasks as needed.

Key skills and experience

  • Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant or similar role, with specific experience in compensation and benefits administration.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and benefits programs.
  • Familiarity with HR software and databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with international or remote teams.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and benefits providers.
