Overview:

As a Project Management Portfolio Team Lead, you will oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the organization's project portfolio. Your expertise in budget management, resource optimization, and methodology implementation will be critical in driving strategic objectives while maintaining the highest quality and compliance standards.

What We Are Looking For We need a strategic thinker with deep expertise in budget management, resource planning, quality and risk management. You’ll lead efforts to implement project management methodologies, optimize tools and processes, and mentor high-performing teams. Strong leadership, communication, and quality assurance skills are essential to ensure alignment between business objectives and project execution.

 

This role is 100% remote in Colombia

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and track project budgets, ensuring cost control and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Plan, allocate, and optimize resources across the project portfolio to meet delivery timelines.
  • Implement and refine project management methodologies, tools, and documentation standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for processes, tools, and practices within the PMO.
  • Oversee risk and quality management practices, ensuring adherence to standards and policies.
  • Lead portfolio performance reviews, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Act as the central communication hub for project updates, risks, and progress reports.
  • Mentor and guide project managers to achieve professional growth and performance excellence.
  • Promote collaboration between cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align project goals.
Qualifications:

What You Need to Succeed

  • Advanced skills in project budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control.
  • Proven expertise in resource planning, allocation, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional risk assessment, mitigation, and quality management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to executives.
  • Strong proficiency in portfolio management tools and software.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Coach, or PgMP preferred.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or PgMP are highly desirable.
  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing portfolios or programs.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.
