As Vice President of Corporate Development and M&A, you’ll be responsible for leading the identification, evaluation, negotiation and execution of strategic mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships to support the company's long-term growth objectives. In this role you’ll work closely with senior leaders and external partners to shape corporate strategy and manage complex transactions from inception to execution. You’ll also oversee the integration processes post-merger and ensure alignment with the company's goals and values. The role requires a deep understanding of industry dynamics, competitive landscapes and emerging trends to effectively identify and seize high-impact opportunities that drive organizational success.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives centered on long-term growth.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of industry landscapes, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics to identify potential M&A targets and partnerships.
  • Lead market research and conduct due diligence to evaluate the strategic fit and business potential of prospective deals.
  • Source, evaluate, and structure M&A opportunities aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Oversee all aspects of deal execution, including valuation, negotiation, due diligence, and integration planning.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors (investment banks, legal counsel, accountants, consultants) and internal teams to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful post-merger integration and realization of acquisition value.
  • Support post-merger integration workstreams and provide strategic updates on deal success criteria to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Identify and negotiate strategic alliances, joint ventures, and investments that create new revenue streams or enhance existing ones.
  • Perform complex financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis to inform M&A and partnership decisions.
  • Present business cases and investment recommendations to the executive team and the Board of Directors.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12-15+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, private equity, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions in a public company, high-growth late-stage private company, or a similar environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading post-merger integration.
  • Deep understanding of corporate strategy, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with strong attention to detail and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in M&A deal execution and management of strategic projects.
  • Progressive career with experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, management consulting, corporate development, and/or strategic finance.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth private or public company within consumer internet, technology, financial services, real estate, or relevant industry sector.

Colorado, New York City, Jersey City, California, D.C and Washington Candidates Only.The salary range for this position is two hundred seven thousand dollars to four hundred sixty-six thousand dollars.
