This position contributes to Starbucks’ success by driving the Global Cyber Security Group (GCS) towards the design, development, and deployment of key security services, as well as serving as a key member contributing to maintaining a resilient and protected cybersecurity environment. As a cybersecurity engineer senior, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of Starbucks’ systems and data.

As a cybersecurity engineer senior, you will…

• Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain scalable, resilient cybersecurity services.
• Bring an “SRE” mindset to the team: designing and deploying solutions with automation in mind wherever practical.
• Facilitates remediation of threats by working with other cybersecurity and IT teams.
• Ensures documentation for managed platforms/services are detailed, thorough, and up to date.
• Acts as a mentor and escalation point for more junior members of the team.
• Participate as a key member in security incident response activities.
  
  

We’d love to hear from people with...

• Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
• Experience with technologies such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in implementing and managing security controls and technologies.
• Knowledge of network security protocols and concepts
• Familiarity with operating systems and network architectures
• In-depth understanding of enterprise-level cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, and technologies
• Proficiency in conducting security assessments and audits.
• Ability to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
• Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Java, Go, Python, Ruby, C++, or C#.
