What You’ll Do

  • Create/Evaluate Test Design Specification documents and validate that Feature Design Specifications are covered within the specification.
  • Provide high-level test design for any new/existing offerings to ensure customer-centric test coverage during integration testing.
  • Review new features/components planned in each release and ensure test coverage from a customer perspective.
  • Develop and maintain fully automated tests to validate the Teradata Vantage Products across various platforms, components, and functions, mimicking customer-like scenarios and workloads.
  • Analyze customer issues, identify test escapes and develop test scenarios to address gaps.
  • Perform customer-centric validation of Vantage products at an integration level to ensure system integration, reliability, and resiliency. Independently analyze and report defects/issues encountered during testing.
  • Create test execution reports with deep analysis and high quality.
  • Create and maintain records to escalate problems to engineering teams.
  • Socialize test coverage, test results on a regular basis and influence the engineering teams to strengthen the product quality.
  • Participate in Closed Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) analysis to improve product quality, reliability, availability, and sustainability.
  • Accountable for the design, development and deployment of features, enhancements, bug- fix, applications and services for the Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon AWS Platform and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Debug code, and write unit and end-to-end test cases.
  • Participate in team Scrum meetings, and interact with various stakeholders.
  • Maintain the level of reliability required from a high-volume, high-availability platform.
  • Analyze and report (complex) issues in existing and new code.
  • Apply Agile Software Engineering principles and DevOps model for continuous delivery Ensure lifecycle management consists of documentation such as test cases, source code repositories etc. are actively used and maintained.

Who You’ll Work With

  • This team is focused on accelerating the Teradata Clearscape Analytics platform responsible for AI/ML/LLM model deployment and management with intuitive user experience.
  • Work with all development process contributors, e. g. Product Owners, Architects, Scrum Masters, Developers, and DevOps to establish and execute a flawless development process.
  • You’ll be reporting to the Sr. Manager, Software Engineering.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • 5+ years industry experience in software development and operating scalable software systems.
  • Experience in building Automation Framework for UI application and Microservices.
  • Experience with building, and testing distributed complex software systems on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Python, Java, Go or other object-oriented languages - preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform including internals or equivalent lower-level implementation.
  • Experience writing unit and system level tests.
  • Must have experience with containerization technology such as Docker.
  • Well versed with Git version control.
  • Must have strong debugging skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills (ability to produce runbooks, technical, and non-technical documentation).

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong understanding of test processes.
  • Experience in customer-centric testing on AWS, Azure, GC or VMWare Platforms to validate system’s reliability and resiliency.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tool chain - Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience with AI/LLM, Analytics, Jupyter Notebook is a plus.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly and to leverage that knowledge for results analysis and problem solving.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, docker containers and experience programming languages.
  • Experience on IaaC (Terraform/Ansible).
  • Good Hands-on DevOps tools stack Jenkins, GIT.
  • Design Test framework and tests.
  • Familiarity with Analytics.
  • Familiarity with RDBMS – PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.
  • Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly Experience working with driving product vision to deliver long term customer and advertiser value.
  • Willingness to own all stages of development process: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and operational support.
  • Knowledgeable with open-source tools and technologies and can use / extend them wherever appropriate to develop solutions.
