Role Focus: The VP Sales has a pivotal position driving the growth and revenue generation for the Salesforce Business Unit (BU). The primary duties include managing a team of sales professionals, formulating strategies and closing opportunities to grow Argano’s business and strengthen our market position. A strategic thinker and growth-focused leader, the VP Sales will focus on optimizing the sales process, increasing deal size, and enabling the sales team to succeed in competitive markets.

To be successful in this role, prior experience selling Salesforce solutions, integrations or products and services is required.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute a tailored revenue strategy, which encompasses sales, business development, and customer success efforts, ultimately driving revenue growth.
  • Establish and lead high-performing sales teams, nurturing a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with BU leadership to enhance sales processes, methodologies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance sales effectiveness and productivity.
  • Develop and oversee the annual sales forecasts and present bookings performance reports to the executive team.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments to expand the customer base and augment revenue streams for the assigned BU.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances within Salesforce that foster revenue growth and bolster our market position.
  • Collaborate closely with BU CRO and President and delivery team to ensure product development and positioning align with market needs and revenue objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer insights, leveraging this information to formulate revenue strategies and secure competitive advantages.
  • Foster a customer-centric approach throughout the assigned BU, guaranteeing high customer satisfaction levels, retention, and upsell opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in revenue generation, sales, business development, and customer success.

Position Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in sales-focused roles, with a preference for candidates with expertise in technology sales, technology services or business consulting.
  • A minimum of 5 years leading a team of sales professionals with a focus on hunting and/or account expansion.
  • Previous experience selling Salesforce products, solutions, integrations and services required.
  • A proven track record of driving revenue growth and meeting sales targets within a technology consulting context.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing sales, business development, and customer success teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership abilities, along with the capacity to align business objectives with revenue generation initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, enabling you to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A data-driven mindset, with a knack for leveraging metrics and insights to inform revenue strategies and decisions.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, methodologies, and pipeline management.
  • Self-motivation and initiative, allowing you to thrive independently in a remote work environment.
  • Proven adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-evolving startup environment.

  • Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales organization. Foster a collaborative culture, develop top talent, and ensure alignment with company objectives to drive consistent and sustainable sales growth.
  • Sales Operations: Optimize sales processes, tools, and workflows across marketing, sales, and customer success to enable predictable and scalable revenue growth. Utilize data-driven insights to improve forecasting accuracy, pipeline efficiency, and operational performance.
