Department: Safe Helpline

Position: Director of Safe Helpline (SHL) Programmatic Services

Reporting to: Vice President of Safe Helpline

Compensation Range: $95,000 - $105,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Management and Oversight:

  • Plan, organize, and control program activities, including defining objectives, developing plans, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress.
  • Develop timelines for program phases, identify critical milestones, and ensure timely completion.
  • Identify and allocate necessary resources to manage resource utilization effectively.
  • Identify and assess program risks and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate risks.
  • Ensure the program meets required quality standards through inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and protocols, including training new staff.
  • Conduct regular audits of services and products, documenting processes and results for quality improvement.
  • Implement best practices for program operations and management.

Financial Management:

  • Develop project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure expenses remain within approved limits.

Data Management and Compliance:

  • Serve as the primary contact for data requests; responsible for data maintenance, storage, and destruction procedures.
  • Manage and serve as the communications team subject matter expert on quality and compliance issues, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Tech on issues related to Authorization to Operate (ATO) compliance.

Problem-Solving and Improvement:

  • Review client feedback and propose solutions.

People Management:

  • Design department and individualized performance goals; responsible for team members' performance assessments and calibration.
  • Provide guidance, support professional growth, and facilitate career advancement for the Local Safe HelpRoom, and SHL Communications members.

Position Specifications/Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, healthcare administration, psychology, sociology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within social service, public health, or healthcare settings.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with the DoD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO).
  • 5+ years experience in data quality assurance.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience in process improvement and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Leadership experience in implementing efforts across stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder liaisons.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of business operations and programmatic services principles.
  • Comfort discussing sexual violence issues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time-management and customer service skills.
  • Ability to complete and pass a criminal background check (administered by RAINN).
  • Must complete and pass Tier 3 background investigation (administered by the Government).
  • Must obtain DoD Common Access Card (CAC).

Preferred Requirements:

  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • Experience in the defense industry or government contracting.
  • Experience in continuous process improvement methodologies.

RAINN headquarters is based in Washington, DC. This position may be based regionally for someone whose residence is within the continental USA. Although this may be a remote role, it will require periodic business travel to our DC offices and/or onsite meetings and training sessions at other locations within the continental USA.
