The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Regulatory and Payer Solutions business unit within Solventum Health Information Systems (HIS) is a leader in helping commercial and government payers control costs and increase access to quality care with clinically based methodologies developed and refined over more than 40 years. These reliable metrics support efforts to analyze and track performance, reduce inefficiencies, and drive better outcomes.

The person hired for the position of Senior Statistical Analyst & Team Lead will join a strong team focused on driving payer, business partner, and provider opportunities for those Solventum measures used for payment, quality, and performance management by government, commercial, and international payer programs. Payment innovation, value-based care, patient safety solutions center our efforts. 

As a Senior Statistical Analyst you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Providing guidance and oversight to team members on industry best practices for designing and building models and analyzing trends including financial models for healthcare payment and value-based programs, as well as statistical models for various types of population health analyses

  • Analyzing requirements, gathering data, and developing models for analytics projects leveraging Solventum HIS methodologies for assigned clients

  • Interpreting results, generating reports and producing data visualizations to present findings to internal consultants as well as external clients

  • Writing and managing code for analysis in data querying tools (i.e. SQL, Athena), statistical tools (i.e. R, SAS), and providing guidance and team leadership on statistical methods

  • Collaborating with health care subject matter experts both internally and externally to develop logic and data-driven deliverables that align with the goals of Solventum clients

  • Leading projects with a team of payment innovation consultants and analysts

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Ten (10+) years of experience in private, public, or government health care sector in a statistical analytics role working on projects including payment modeling, designing industry standard analytical models, and creating statistical models

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's Degree or higher in statistics, data science, computer science, math, actuarial, or related field; or ASA, FSA, MAAA

  • Proficient with R, Python, SAS and other statistical/predictive tools

  • Experience with one or more of the HIS proprietary patient classification tools such as 3M CRG, 3M PPEs, 3M APR DRG, and 3M EAPG and risk adjustment concepts

  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, public domain methodologies and quality measures such as VBP, ACO REACH, etc.

  • Experience with designing financial risk models such as those used for health care payment, value-based programs and other similar analysis

  • Experience with managing multiple projects and/or project management experience

  • Candidate should work well in a fast-paced, flexible environment, where occasional work during non-standard hours may be required to meet deadlines and support international time zones

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
