Job description

Here’s a summary of the role:

Are you an Assistant Company Secretary with entity management experience? Would you like to play a key role in supporting YouGov's Company Secretariat during an exciting phase of development of its governance function?

We are on the hunt for an Assistant Company Secretary to join us immediately for a 6-month FTC (Maternity Cover) role, with the potential for extension. Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid or remote working – your work, your way!

Regrettably, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship, so you must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important
stuff):

The role will assist the Company Secretariat at YouGov to deliver a number of high-level entity administration projects for the Group’s UK and international subsidiaries.  You will have the opportunity to take on the following:

  • Lead on Company Secretariat projects relating to international entity management actions and corporate activity
  • Collaborate with other functions (Finance, Legal, HR and Compliance) on entity management projects
  • Support YouGov’s US based entities with regulatory compliance requirements
  • Support compliance health-checks on our international subsidiary entities
  • Maintain, update and improve our Entity Management Software (GEMS)

These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
  • Global entity management experience across Europe and APAC, including strong US subsidiary experience
  • GEMS experience
  • Experienced in supporting and leading corporate restructuring actions including liquidations, rationalisations and integrations
  • Fully Chartered Governance Institute (or equivalent) qualified with demonstrable post-qualification experience

Behavioural competencies:
  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize workload independently
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent record-keeping
  • Confident in communicating with other department stakeholders and following up on open actions where necessary

It would be great if you had these too:
  • Project management experience would be beneficial

What can you expect when you become a YouGover?
  • In the UK you’ll get 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays throughout the year to take a well-earned rest, plus 1 extra day off for your birthday. In addition to this YouGov offers a designated day off that you can use to rest and recharge as we understand the importance of health and wellbeing
  • You will also have the option to work abroad for up to 30 days in a calendar year
  • Auto-enrolled pension scheme
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Workplace Savings Plan
  • Eyecare Vouchers
