Responsibilities / Position overview:

We are seeking an experienced compensation and benefits professional to join our collaborative global HR team and share in our primary goal - attract and retain top talent globally. As our Global Total Rewards Director you will oversee the global total rewards function, and evolve the compensation and benefits plans for 1200+ employees throughout the US, UK, Europe, and Asia.

 

This role is a mix of tactical leadership and hands-on contribution, and involves balancing strategic planning with practical and scalable everyday execution.

 

Short-term deliverables include:

  • Working with external compensation consulting firm to build and implement global job framework, compensation structure, salary ranges, bonus program review and redesign
  • Reviewing and assessing global benefits program with local surveys and recommended cost and benefits improvement
  • Inventory and centralize total rewards processes
  • Articulate our total rewards philosophy and partner with all parts of our business to ensure equitable programs and outcomes for our employees

 

Ongoing and day to day responsibilities include:

  • Develop and lead Lumanity comprehensive strategy for Total Rewards using compelling and equitable compensation and benefits programs aimed at attracting and retaining extraordinary talent in a competitive environment
  • Lead ongoing market analysis, design, and execution of our compensation programs.
  • Oversee the annual compensation planning process with regions/business units, including merit increases and bonus allocations
  • Provide strategic direction, planning, and requirements to complete the design, implementation, communication, and administration of the company's compensation programs
  • Ensure that our benefits strategy aligns with Lumanity’ s values and will attract, engage and retain top talent for the organization, including evaluation, design, implementation, communication, and compliance for health & welfare, retirement, paid time-off, and disability plans
  • Continuously evaluate and evolve our Compensation and Rewards programs to ensure they are externally competitive, internally aligned with our business needs, and ultimately incenting the intended behaviors/outcomes.
  • Create dynamic communication plans and own the execution of those plans in the areas of compensation, benefits and wellness programs to achieve employee awareness, understanding and appreciation of the programs offered
  • Continuously evaluate the efficiency of our rewards programs to ensure they are aligned with our business and talent strategies and monitor market trends to make recommendations for changes, as appropriate
  • Ensure all programs are coordinated in compliance with country specific regulations. This includes management of all compliance filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of employee compensation programs either directly or through vendor/partners
  • Collaborate with finance to develop budgets and forecast costs for total rewards programs
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of total rewards statements to employees
  • Manage relationships with external vendors
  • Participate in mergers and acquisitions activities, focusing on harmonizing compensation and benefits
  • Prepare materials for the Board of Directors meetings
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you must have in-depth experience building out a total rewards program with strong expertise in analytics, operations, and integrating acquisition company compensation and benefit plans, and possess the ability to influence and build a strong partnership with Executive leadership. 

 

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 10 + years of experience in total rewards, with some of that experience being global 
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation practices, including executive compensation
  • Strong understanding of global employment laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits
  • Process & systems orientation - with a focus on scalability and deep experience in defining, implementing and driving people processes and related systems to support growth.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation management systems
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or GRP (Global Remuneration Professional) preferred
