Reporting and Analytics Analyst

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Reporting and Analytics Analyst 2 position. A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based, collaborative setting. This position is focused primarily on quantitative analysis of data such asNew Medicaid claims and enrollment records, electronic health records, and/or clinical lab data.

Reporting and Analytics Analysts are expected to perform mainly technical skill tasks. They are expected to complete tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. Reporting and Analytics Analysts typically work on multiple projects at a time.

Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: assisting with quantitative analysis of health care data; designing queries of large relational databases such as Medicaid claims; assisting with the development and testing of new clinical quality and population health measures; preparing data for integration into interactive dashboard environments such as Tableau or RShiny; linking data from different datasets; contributing to reports, whitepapers, and presentation materials; presenting results to team members and other audiences.

Required Qualifications:

An advanced degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree is required. Experience with SAS programming for data preparation and analysis with consideration for team-based code development is required. Requires successful completion of a background check.

 

Additional Desired Qualifications:

An advanced degree in a relevant field of study is preferred. Experience analyzing health care data such as claims or electronic health records is preferred.
