What’s the job?

We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Business Analysis and Process Excellence to lead process improvement initiatives, implement Lean practices, and drive the optimisation of business processes in line with our strategic goals. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the Business Analyst practice and the Business Requirements Lifecycle, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Day-to-day accountabilities:

Includes but are not limited to the following: 

  • Process Excellence and Lean Practices: Drive an optimised business processes that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. 

  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain ongoing enhancements to process excellence and business analysis practices that increase efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Business Analyst Practice Management: Lead and manage a high-performing BA team that delivers accurate and comprehensive business requirements, supporting successful project outcomes and providing traceability. 

  • Performance Measurement: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of process improvement and business analysis initiatives. 

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with process improvement and business analysis initiatives. 

  • Leadership accountabilities: Responsible for ensuring achievement of results within the department, providing guidance, coaching and direction to staff on performance management and resource allocation.

Who you are:  

You will have over 10 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, and Lean practices, with a proven track record of leading business analysis and process excellence initiatives in large organisations. You will demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing process improvement frameworks, driving strategic planning, and managing high-performance teams. A strong understanding of the business requirements lifecycle, along with proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies and business analysis best practices, will be essential for success in this role.

Key Skills and Experience: 

  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and BPM methodologies 

  • Deep understanding of SDLC, IT infrastructure, and tools like JIRA and Confluence 

  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and team development abilities 

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills 

Desirable Certifications: 

  • CBAP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, and Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
